Wind mostly from the South, but starting to bias towards the SW. Highest gust only 25mph so far, although I am slightly sheltered from that direction.

Still gusting into the 50s here and the mean windspeed has increased. It's notably warm here too, 16.1C. There'll be a heck of a blow I reckon when the cold front goes through.... TBH I'm amazed I still have power at the moment!

Don't speak too soon Darren, i think it will get a fair bit worse before it gets better. I would not fancy your drive off the Island this morning.

Mmm, the temperature's rocketing up: 16.6C and rising. Sheerness recorded a gust of 55MPH recently. The gusts here are still in the 50s but the mean windspeed is still ticking up - it's now in the low 30s MPH. Pressure is 981 now.

EDIT: I'll be heading off the Isle in the next hour, could be an "interesting" drive!

Calm and cool at the moment, with showers or light rain. Much calmer than the 57mph we had yesterday evening. But, as the weather improves down south, so our will deteriorate. Gales or severe gales are in the offing for most of this week around here
