Observations between 8.30 pm last night and 9.45 pm currently.
LAST NIGHT: Mainly clear, apart from a procession of cumulonimbus trundling eastwards over the Channel which gave off the very occasional flicker of distant lightning. I think one managed to drop off a shower in passing.
THIS MORNING: Mostly sunny. Cumulus started littering the sky by mid-day.
THIS AFTERNOON: Sunny spells and partial cloud cover.
CURRENT: Clear. 7.2 C. 81% humidity. Dewpoint: 4.2 C. Rising to 1016.8 mb. Calm winds.
WINDS: Moderate west last night and into this morning, ligher in afternoon.
AIR QUALITY: Superb! Sparkling clean and fresh. I could almost live on it if it needed be.
VISIBILITY: Crystal clear.
COMFORT FACTOR: Chilly at first and in the evening, it felt pleasantly mild in the mid-day sunshine. It has been mostly dry the whole time.
RAINFALL (in mm): 0.6
TEMPERATURES (in C): Max: 14.6 at 12 pm. Min: 7.2 currently.
PRESSURE (in mb): Max: 1016.8 currently. Min: 1001.7 at 9.15 pm yesterday.
Could this be not just the first but the smallest snow shower of the season? Spotted this hanging over the Channel this afternoon.
