137.4mm well above the average of 94mm

Now up to 108.8mm, over double the month's average which is 51mm. This is the first month that has exceeded 100mm this year!!

Heavy showers overnight and continuing moderate showers today have added 17.1mm, so far, to bring my total up to 125.9mm 

Its information in posts like this that make me realise how much drier it is down south than up here.

Thats me at 211mm now for the month.  Dry today but some more rain tomorrow will make my october total end a little higher.

Or how less wet it is down here atm!! Soggy enough for me with my total now at 133.7mm. Hopefully I'll get a fine morning before the next batch of rain arrives!

an exceptional 180mm here unusually wet here and the wettest month since nov 09 wettest Oct since the legendary 2000

Got 98.8mm on my VP2, the wettest October since I've had it, manual measurements gave me 134.14mm, so very wet whichever way.

ended up with 69.9mm quite a wet month

The England and Wales series finished at 153mm for October (compared to the average of 87mm)

First month of 2013 to exceed 100mm

Wettest October in this series since 2000 (188mm) and prior to that 1987 (180mm)

Final total 144.2mm, well above average but way down on the 207.2mm in 2000.
