10.8 mm so far and it's only in the first day of November. I've noticed mine is less than Gusty's and he only lives a mile away from here. Either my rain gauge isn't measuring the rain at the correct rate or a slug is caught under the tipper or perhaps it needs to be moved to a different location.
It couldn't be local variation associated with showery rain as what we have had recently was mostly general stuff.

Whether Idle and myself held a 'Weather Summit' in a local pub recently and our rainfall readings were remarkably similar. Temperature wise the overall average is virtually the same too )within 0.1c most months).

Either that, or invest in a proper station rather than cheap £69 ones from the local Maplins.

I might as well leave an envelope with £200 in it.
