A stonking 22.5 mm has fallen between 7 pm last night and 9 pm this morning. At least that's what my cheapo Maplins weather station has picked up. Wonder if it matches my fellow countrymen's readings.

That brings this month's readings to 40 mm dead on . . . give or take a couple of millimetres.

6.3 mm yesterday, plus another 0.6 mm so far this morning thus making it 40.5 mm so far this month (that's taking into account a glogged up rain gauge so the actual total will be higher - but hopefully a clean-up and a slight change of location will have solved it).

We have had rain every day, bar one, for the past 11 days, even the local seagulls are getting fed up with it.
