LAST NIGHT: Clear breaks and partial cloud cover at first, then it became cloudy later on in the night where it was thick enough to give off light rain by dawnbreak.
THIS MORNIING: Dull and dismal with light but persistent rain. The cloud base became low enough to shroud the hills.
THIS AFTERNOON: The light rain petered away by 1 pm with the occasional chinks of brightness throughout the afternoon but then became overcast with further outbreaks of light rain after sunset.

Another cold day wth wintry showers down to sea level. As ever a bit warmer up here in Shulista with a stiff wind and the sea on three sides. In Portree just now it is 3C (day average 5C) with wintry showers. Further snow on the mountains, with the snow line down to about 450m widely. Breezy at times. Followed the gritter home and ice has been about the past few mornings.
