Evening all
I am currently in chamonix, the region is well plastered with about one ft of very dry snow, and ice. Past few days very very cold but dry. Higher up snow is much deeper.
A front is forecast to pass over the region in the morning, I will follow developments, driving and walking into places and take images and I also hope I can make videos of the event, and post at regular intervals here on this forum.
 If possible I will drive at altitude, right into the storm clouds and winds if road not to bad.

Waked at 5 am, and here we go, falling down thick and fast!  Fantastic powdery snow! 

 

           

Went for a drive out town, very well freshly re-plastered on top of past few days dump.

Gritting equipment are out and still coming down.

Have to come back due nasty condition, road climbing very currently too risky.

Nice snowy pics, not a foot imo, but more 4-6" although one or two "vegitation" pictures give the impression there is more.

Keep them coming regardless.  

Hopefully not too much longer until we get our own snowfall.

Clear and frosty, surfaces nicely frozen, amazing no delays whatsoever, and people enjoy the white stuff.
