Christmas Eve evening in Australia I like to be warm, clear (so the stars are all out) and very still with no wind. The insects will be chirping away and the Christmas lights will be reflecting on pool.

The perfect Christmas day here would be between 25c - 28c with a nice refreshing sea breeze setting in around lunch time. In the afternoon the storm clouds would build bringing a refreshing late afternoon thunderstorm with hail an added bonus. The storms would quickly clear to leave a fresh, clear and still Christmas Day evening, Maybe a distant thunderstorm light show in the distance.

Boxing Day, just perfect weather for messing around with water guns and for swimming and generally having a good time outside.

Heavy snowfall on 28/12/13: once all the visiting is over we could get snowed in.
No snow prior to xmas day thank you.

Whilst I do love a cold & snowy lead-in to Xmas, I got that in 2009 and 2010.

What I would love more than anything is a truly catastrophic snowfall. We're talking stalling front over the UK, delivering 72 hours of heavy snow, depths widely in excess of 50cm, the whole country grinding to a halt, national emergency called by the government, supermarkets ransacked, etc.

I'd love to see the chaos.

Even more if, through TWO, we'd been able to guauge the severity and been able to warn family & friends to stock up.
