Found this on Facebook this morning not sure if the link will show here but if you're on Facebook the pictures in this thread are worth a look! Taken in the Gold Coast area yesterday. Its looks like a funnel coming from the top of the storm cloud but seems its actually hail stones

Welcome back, Dots.  But indeed, it does look like the "upside down" funnel was caused by turbulence.
