A cool start to the day with continuing wintry showers, some snowfall even to sea level though not settling. Brezzy, but less windy than of late. Turning stormy for us through tomorrow and Christmas day. Wind speeds look to be in the 80mph region.

The Pentlands are white again this morning with a slushy covering of snow in the southern suburbs above 150m after the wet snow showers of yesterday. Icy pavements and a slight frost has eased as cloud and a SE breeze picks up
