Narborough Rd area, Leicester @ 01:40
Temp down outside to +2C no wind, rain or any type of the wet stuff falling..

In actual fact, so far this winter (2013/2014) the temp outside has only dipped below 0C twice!! One night to -0.6C & -1C, both end of November..... thats pretty unusual dont you think? Temps measured at 2m off the ground and in a shaded area..

Setting off at 09.45, I drove from Glasgow down to Worcester yesterday.

Mostly raining, but a few sleety patches all the way down the M74. There was one brief but quite heavy spell of snow as I was driving near Moffat (just north of Lockerbie) at approx 10.30.

...just to add: No snow was settling anywhere. Neither on the heavy gritted roads, or on the surrounding hills.
