Awful today. Torrential rain and rivers running down the roads whilst driving up in the Pennines proved interesting but the weather hasn't relented all day and the wind has picked up this afternoon - really strong gusts. The Eden and the Eamont rivers are very high needless to say.

Observations between 10 pm last night and 8.45 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Cloudy and windy with outbreaks of rain.
THIS MORNING: Bright spells and partial cloud cover. There was an odd passing light shower at one time.
THIS AFTERNOON: Bright spells and variable cloud amounts.
CURRENT: Partial cloud cover.      10.6 C.       87% humidity.         Dewpoint: 8.5 C.        Moderate south west winds.        Rising slowly to 999.4 mb.

WINDS: Very strong south last night, then fresh south west during the day, although it even became just breezy in the afternoon.
AIR QUALITY: Very fresh and clean.
VISIBILITY: Very good. Slight haze.
COMFORT FACTOR: Rough and wet last night, but it wasn't at all that bad during the day where it actually stayed mostly dry. Did feel rather fresh and chily in the breezy wind.
RAINFALL (in mm): 2.7
TEMPERATURES (in C):          Max: 12.3 at 11.15 am.          Min: 10.1 at 10.15 pm last night.
PRESSURE (in mb):          Max: 999.4 currently.            Min: 994.9 at 3.45 am.
