lovley spring like day, cleaned the car and out in the garden - really nice in the spring sunshine 8c not a cloud in the sky.

what a contrast to this time last year - anyone remember, here in the midlands we had a longest snowfall for a long time, its snowed non stop for some 19 hours on top of healthy fall a few days earlier.

Observations between 8.30 pm last night and 9.15 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Cloudy, there was a spell of quite heavy rain at around 6 am.
THIS MORNING: After a rather cloudy start, it brightened up during the course of the morning.
THIS AFTERNOON: Decent sunny spells and partial cloud cover.
CURRENT: Clear.       4.0 C.          87% humidity.         Dewpoint: 2.0 C.        Calm winds.          Rising slowly to 1001.0 mb.

WINDS: Moderate south last night and into this morning, then light west in afternoon.
AIR QUALITY: Very fresh and clean last night and into today, but now it seems to be taking on that smoky scent associated with still cold air.
VISIBILITY: Excellent.
COMFORT FACTOR: Wet last night but the sunshine and brisk winds helped with the drying up process during the day. It also felt pleasantly mild in the sunshine whien in south-facing sheltered areas.
RAINFALL (in mm):  3.0
TEMPERATURES (in C):        Max: 9.9 at 10.30 am.         Min: 4.0 currently.
PRESSURE (in mb):            Max: 1001.0 currently.            Min: 990.5 at 5 am.
