Down to 3C here in Dublin after the last shower.


Some big temperature drops today.


It was 9C this morning at 10.00.

Has gone very dark here after a fairly pleasant day, very gusty winds, highest in the garden 26mph and has just started to rain heavy. Temps 9.7C but feeling a darn sight colder in the wind.

Frontogenetic Front has now passed through. Some realy wild wind in that..6.9c with partly cloud sky.

Dreadful squall storm in S London. Got caught in it walking home from some shopping and my golf brolly was completely wrecked - even tore the cover off the frame. Lots of tree debris including some quite big branches... Calmer now.

Yes same here, as we drove home just after the storm had passed, there were fresh trees down and the roads were littered with debris. The storm also bought down a huge leylandii in my parents neighbours garden, fortunately it has not fallen on any property, madness......[thunder] [rain]

Not a bad day with some sunshine between blustery wintry showers. Showers have been mostly of rain and hail, with some squally winds at times. Peak gust 62.4mph early this morning. Cool as well. 


Stormy tomorrow with strom force winds looking likely for us (70 - 80mph). Lots of snow for the mountains as well, with blizzards looking likely. An interesting few days to come.....

Incredible - just had easily the most violent thunderstorm I have ever known in winter.


It was in a class of its own.


This was about 4.30 to 5.00pm.


Many claps of thunder and several cloud to ground strokes of lightning and also widespread - albeit short term power cuts as well.


This is January for heavens sake.
