Take out the high level sites and it's been pretty windy even at very low levels today. South Uist range got 81mph (similar exposure to us, though further west) and my high speed was 76mph.

It's been very blustery here today. The strongest wind was this morning, 75.4mph was the top gust with a clutch around 70mph as the front passed through. We've seen plenty around the 60mph mark, and it's still blowing strong out there. It's been cool as well, but I managed to wash the car this afternoon (top to toe in waterproofs) and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Why I washed the car in the first place is another question entirely

Just took a look at the lamp post outside because something icy is hitting the conservatory roof and by jimminy it is trying to snow out there, mostly icy rain but definately with a few flakes mixed in, first bit of wintryness this winter.
