Temperature seems to have bottomed out here in Leicester, got down to +3C, now warmed up to a barmy +3.7C Rain alarm showing quite a few showers heading our way, and a showers over western Ireland clumping into an organised band....
The slight temperature increase might be a precursor to some of the rare white stuff..... heres hoping..!

Showers don't seem to be penetrating into the East Midlands........ seem to dissolve away as they reach us....

It was clear between Barnstaple and south Molton (Bone dry but windy) then there was snowflakes falling over Exmoor/A361 towards Rackenford earlier with 10 seconds of soft hail and then as I drove to Tiverton there was heavy rain with occasional sleety bits, then it stopped then it was dry but by the time I arrived back Exeter the same storm caught up and temperature rose to 3.6c with light rain.

So in summary - very blustery and the wintry showers are very hit and miss and any snow was confined to Moors/hills!

I might camp up on the roof this week to give myself a greater chance of seeing a flake of snow...Then will get down next Sunday before the Atlantic blows me away 😃

Fitted a snow detector to my roof, got it at £ Land, don't know if it works yet as it hasn't gone off yet...
Had to desensitise it to not get snow mixed up with the constant barrage of training shoes/dead firework rockets that rain down overnight normally!!!!!!

Big shower heading this way died out about 5 miles west of here. Depressing stuff, although in the general scheme of things I probably won't slash my wrists over it.

Had a few flakes late yesterday evening followed by a single lighting strike/thunderclap and then it was back to rain.

Did wake up to a slight accumulation of snow on cars & shed roofs this morning. Almost got the sledge out!

Two snow report threads this winter with no snow reports in them. Certainly turning into the most dire or winters for coldies. I'm still adamant that Spring will usher in cold weather though

I'd like to kiss goodbye to this winter, I've had enough of wind and rain and like it is at the moment, absolutely peeing down with hail and rain. I'm hoping It'll change to a mildly dryish Spring and lead into a pleasantly warm Summer. Don't get me wrong I love the snow but I think enough is enough of this weather type and to me doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.
