Now quite overcast but is staying dry (not expecting the rain to arrive here until 3 pm or thereabouts). However, the annoyingly boring in-your-face southerly wind has already become quite strong as it is come in from the Channel - yet I have 12 hours of that to come along with it reaching gale force later.  Now I know what it's like to be a lighthouse keeper.

It's wretched outside!!  Heavy rain, wind, mildness. Reminds me of living in North Wales!!

Observations between 8.45 pm last night and 8.30 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, which prevented a frost from getting a hold.
THIS MORNING: Bright spells and partial cloud cover, however it became more cloudy by noon time.
THIS AFTERNOON: The cloud cover became thick enough to produce rain and it has been raining since then. It also became windy.
CURRENT: Raining heavily and very windy.         7..4 C.         91% humidity.        Dewpoint: 5.9 C.        Gale force south wind.        Falling quickly to 992.0 mb.

WINDS: Light south last night, then it picked up to moderate to fresh this morning before reaching strong to gale force in the afternoon and into the evening.
AIR QUALITY: Fresh.
VISIBILITY: Very good this morning, less so in afternoon.
COMFORT FACTOR: Dry and cool last night and into this morning, then it became wet and windy in the afternoon. Now it's being disgusting as I can hear the wind humming around the house as well as the rain lashing onto the windows.
