Nothing but some wet snow in heavier periods here in Durham, Gooner... but at least a 30 minute drive means the kids (well, and me! ) can see some proper snow .

To be fair gooner, that snowpocalapse was a march event, rather than a january or february one. I was in the pennines north of leeds on April 1st and the snow drifts were at least 30 foot high. The dry stone walls were just gone. Last march was truly remarkable, and though it wasn't the coldest march in a centuary (though it was by the CET) i'd bet it was the snowiest.
