Sun 9th Feb 14. Observations between 8 pm last night and 9.15 pm currently.
LAST NIGHT: Frequent squally showers. Some clear breaks. Very windy.
THIS MORNING: Sunny spells and partial cloud cover.
THIS AFTERNOON: Decent sunny spells. Broken cloud.
CURRENT: Mostly clear. 5.3 C. 78% humidity. Dewpoint: 1.7 C. Moderate west wind. Rising slowly to 991.6 mb.
WINDS: Gale force south west last night, then eased back to as fresh west during the day.
AIR QUALITY: Superb, continuing fresh and clean.
VISIBILITY: Very good, distant haze.
COMFORT FACTOR: Uncomfortably wet 'n' wild last night, but much nicer during the day where the sunshine, brisk wind and the lack of further showers helped with the drying up process on a local scale - even though rivers across Kent are now bursting their banks causing flooding.
RAINFALL (in mm): 5.0
TEMPERATURES (in C): Max: 9.9 at 12.30 pm. Min: 5.3 currently.
PRESSURE (in mb): Max: 991.6 currently. Min: 980.4 at 8.15 pm last night.
Further proof that it hasn't ALWAYS been bad, it's lovely when the weather is behaving itself. Such a shame that we now have to face several days of carp before we (hopefully) get to that mythical settled trend.
C'mon, Kent Weather Deflector, what's wrong with it? All is forgiven, now, work you bloody thing!
