18.7mm to 6pm and some torrential downpours since... probably close to 25mm by now.

For the month, that's 105.2mm to 6pm today and up to now it looks to be over 110mm for the first half of February. By the end of the day, who knows...? The convection is strong with this one!

119.3mm to the end of 16th February. Just had the second dry day of the month.

Previous wettest February since I started recording rainfall in 2005 was 95mm in 2010, so that one's been blown out of the water already.

GFS comes up with nearly 20mm from tomorrow's slow moving system... hopefully it's just getting carried away with things, although EURO-4 delivers nearly 15mm so it's not looking too good really.

It looks like GFS' near-20mm event could well be unfolding today; it's been raining persitently back home (west Hants) since 10:30am after some light rain 8-9am, and from the looks of things there's plenty more to come, with the heaviest precipitation signalled for later on today.

Devon is getting soaked again at the moment, and it's that trailing feature that is expected to progress eastward through today and tomorrow - yes, it does look to take a long time doing so!

The Met Office warning for today doesn't extend far enough east in my opinon.

That EURO-4 accumulation chart strongly supports this notion, although Devon is looking to be worse off than most.
