Driest set of ensembles we have seen since last summer probably. Also, some unusually high temps are possible

GFS and ECM still rock solid but UKMO flattens the ridge.

Phew... despite a highly inconvenient spell of ill health, following an unbelievably busy run of weeks in Reading, I've finally submitted an application for the position of Trainee Meteorologist at the Met Office

Now I can finally cast an eye across the models, and what I see is a strong trend for increasingly dry conditions, which I'll take no matter what the temperatures are!

06z op and control similar to UKMO in the short run, maintaining a wet theme until thursday before the high builds in. lets hope its not a new trend to keep delaying the drying out process

With the 06z op shifted from the 00z towards the ECM 00z op run... well, it's looking mighty fine from 6 days time.

The contrast to one year ago couldn't be greater, but then that does seem to be the theme of the weather these days.

Edit: and thanks for the good luck wishes Seasonal Bounty and Osprey  I'm hoping to at least make the second stage of the application, which involves a trip to the Met Office and some meteorological challenges to take on

right on the high side of the run, favourite seems to be a 4 or 5 day warmer spell before a cool down

Well the ECM ensembles agree with the Op. A prolonged sunny and warm spell on the way if correct.
