Aye, I had a good view of this from my office window yesterday. Jeez the rain didn't half slam against the window! From no rain at all then BAM full on thunder rain and wind sending brollies inside out and people making a run for it in all directions.


Was very atmospheric with the thunder booming down the city streets.


It has been a poor storm season actually. You would expect a number of storms like yesterdays in a typical summer but this is the first since early December!!!

My next-door neighbour was in holiday in Australia for a month from late November until the week before Christmas and had temperatues of around 28C most days and unbroken sunshine. While there he managed a walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge; good job he wasn't doing that last night when that storm arrived!

The bridge walk is a must do for anyone comign down this way. Also if you are from Middlesbrough you get a nifty little discount Middlesbrough is stamped all over the steel.
