Stormy, wet and increasingly mild.

Yesterday we had blizzards and wind gusts topped 84mph. Today we have wind speeds topping 74mph already. No warnings in force despite the inevitable disruption to transport. A87 Skye Bridge closed to high siders. Substantial disruption to Calmac ferry services.

Looking forward to a better week ahead. Maybe not calm but hopefully some brightness

Urgh, feel for you, Martyn. I would so want to move away from there - unless you enjoy that kind of weather! Meanwhile it is brightening up at this end as the mist and low cloud at dawnbreak is giving way to clearing skies. Now hazy sunshine with varied amounts of cirrus.
