This is one heck of a frontal system we're getting now - it's been heavy most of the way and has a squall line right in the middle of it... can't say I've seen that very often.


It's actually outperforming most the frontal systems seen last winter in terms of persistent rainfall rates of over 4mm/hr. I must have at least 14mm so far... and as of 8:50 it's turned torrential back home with the squall line delivering a brief peak at 42mm/hr.

The wet theme continues into March..hopefully that is the end of it now though. 10.4mm for the month so far.
