We'll I can safely say first snow of 2014 IMBY.... Yes I'm fairly high up and we have some Wet Snow Flakes mixed in witht he rain, not just Hail now but flakes of wet snow.

I'm suprised nobody else on the forum is reporting it.

Dew point here dropping to -2.6C and the air temp is dropping aswell, showers moving westwards off the north sea towards here. Hopefully a hint of wintryness in a short while.

A mix of rain and sleet for the past hour or so.

Large snow flakes for about a minute here in Esher about half hour ago. Now back to sleety rain. Reports of more prolonged bursts at Guildford and Epsom Downs

Snow falling here but not settling, air temp 4.1C, dew point -2.2C. I guess the dew point is the factor in this. But the air temp is steadily falling.

That is an impressive drop in temp on the Pennines, from 6C to 0C in 3 hours.

Still snowing here but far too wet to stick, it's a similar picture higher up too on the webcams.

By the looks of things anything that falls will probably be of rain over the next few hours for the north - dew points on the rise. Gone up quite a bit here over the past hour.

Radio reports of wet snow/sleet in a shower at Ryde IoW this morning. Looks very black over that way from here.

Seen some sleetiness and wet snow mixed in the showers over the last couple of days. Haven't topped the winter yet though.
