It came over all dark and gloomy at 3 pm but it actually stayed rain free - then the sun broke through at 4.30 pm and now it is quite sunny with the late afternoon sunshine beaming into my west-facing hobby room. The high humidity and calm winds are making the current temp of 13 C feel warm and muggy.

I have recorded only 1.2 mm of rain today, all of that in the form of that bit of thundery rain at 10 am.

First sunny and completely dry weekend since November here 38.1 hours of sun in the past 3 days and 69.6 hours in the past week. 

Temperatures no better than average though with 12.3C today being the highest of the week. 

Murk has now spread in from the North Sea and temperature plummeted to just 5.7C.
