as P+ve mentioned a small but intense cell has just popped up over the Mersey. 2cm hail came batting out of it along with several close rumbles of thunder.Short but fun.Duckie

An area of rain around the Brest Peninsula has thunder embedded. Heading for Devon/Dorset
Had a downpour.
Rain just arrived in Evesham and with it the first distant crack of thunder
Heavy shower here.
Torrential rain now!
Been quite lucky here we have dodged any showers to the west and east by only a few miles. Currently overcast and increasingly breezy.
After that bit of thundey rain on Saturday morning which lead to fine Summer-like conditions for the rest of this weekend (was able to be out in the garden for most of the day today), it seems that ss far as this neck of the woods is concerned, it does look like my next chance saloon for thundery weather is Monday night/Tuesday early morning going by this Euro4 output: http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=euro4&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=prec&HH=42&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0&WMO=&PERIOD=
And until then, there is a small chance of me getting to see a passing distant storm over the French coast. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=euro4&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=prec&HH=15&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0&WMO=&PERIOD=
Dark to the S/SW here and thunder has just be heard.
Looked very promising for a bit of thundery stuff an hour ago but after what must have been a good dozen drops of rain the sun has returned to finish off what has been a glorious summers day.
Heavy showery rain but no more thunder heard.
Impressive cell sparking off from nowhere in Liverpool bay, looks to be decaying already. Quite threatening skies over here now but I doubt if anything of substance will track over this way, though Liverpool and north Wirral have copped a few downpours in the last couple of hours.
We had very loud thunder/ lightning/downpour first thing on Saturday, and amazing cloudscapes that evening as storms moved across to Liverpool as well. Overall not a bad spring/early summer for storms in this part of the world.
Recent thunderstorm here - it moved overhead and at it's peak was producing a flash every 15 seconds or so. Mostly cc lightning.
After a very warm and sunny day, it got windy and went dark to our West around 5pm but we got nothing. Then at 7pm we had a sharp downpour with a fair bit of thunder and lightning. The rain only lasted ten minutes but the thunder carried on for a while as it moved off to the East towards Lincolnshire.
