For the UK for June 2014 and going by the official Met Office station reports what/when will be:

- The first 25.0*C              - The first 28.0*C

- The longest unbroken run of temperatures reaching at least 25*C

- The highest UK temperature?              - The lowest UK temperature?

- The rainfall as a percentage of the long term average?              - The sunshine as a percentage of the LTA?

Figured I might as well run with a heat theme given the current signals for the month

Could all entries be submitted by the end of the month please (Saturday).

Cheers!

According to forecasts, it looks like the 25c might come a couple of days early for me, but spot on for Schmee.

There goes the first 25.0*C; Gravesend reached 25.4*C yesterday. That was a 21 day gap since the last mid-20's maximum!

Caz and Schmee are the only members who saw it coming so early, with predictions of 9th and 7th June respectively. They score a single point each, nicely done

The next earliest predictions are 14th June so a fair old gap!

A lot of matching predictions this month make for some jumps in the scoring too:

Yay!  I'm top of the table with Schmee!  Ahem!!!

And another 25c today, so now I just need it to stay like this all week, but seven in a row is looking unlikely during this warm spell.

Am I right to think the run of 25c days is currently at 3 days, with yesterday failing to reach it?  I reckon somewhere will have today though, in which case the clock starts again and I need a seven day run!  What's the bet that it happens next week, when I'm in Lanzarote!!!!
