Indeed. I'm certain he's off.

Not convinced (as I've previously said) but thought it odds-on he'd be playing for us next season. He is one of only a handful of players in the entire world who will consistently win matches through sheer ability, by being able to score goals that only a few players could.
If he's not at Liverpool, we lose that. Impossible to accurately quantify it, but I reckon Suarez was worth 20+ points to us last season. I think Sanchez is a very good player. But he won't ever deliver what Suarez can. It's not just his goalscoring, it's the doubt he puts in defenders' minds, his off-the-ball movement. Only Messi, Ronaldo, maybe Aguero (lower workrate) and Ibrahimovic (getting on, lower workrate) have that ability. His playing style is just perfect for Liverpool.
After supporting Liverpool since the 70's, the past couple of decades have been tougher than tough. We've seen a few false starts - and false Messiahs like Fowler, MacManaman, Owen - only for those scummy arsewipes to our east steal our crown and mock us for it. But last season I was reminded how good football can be. If Suarez goes, it'll take a big chunk of joy out the game for me.
His ability helped to wipe out the handicap we have against the plastic, moneybags clubs. It was the only chance we had, when Citeh & Chavski just spend eye-watering amounts on even players who sit on their bench.
But perhaps it's time we let him go. Then try to rebuild again. Sigh.
