The deep convection doing its usual summer dance 15 miles inland from here (typical of a summer SW'ly) is now edging towards me as the upper flow veers more WNW'ly. Hopeful for a few crashes and bangs later .

Just had a slow moving thundery-type shower pass over us here at Folkestone. Can hear the lawn sigh in relief as I type.

An inch of rain in 42 minutes, not bad for isolated light showers.

Rain has eased but still light/moderate 30.0mm
