I think the semi finalists will be Germany v Colombia and Holland v Argentina. Should be two cracking games tonight
Bishop's Stortford 85m ASL.

Company I work for has run a fun World Cup competition thing. All staff were divided into 16 groups, then each group drew two teams. If one of your group's teams were playing that day/night, you could dress down.

If one of your group's teams won the entire thing, the company would pay for your group to go to lunch at a restaurant themed on that country.

My group got Argentina & France.

So fingers crossed

I've had a policy - since England went out - of supporting any non-European team against a European team unless the non-European team happens to be Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay.

I'm really torn about Germany vs France however as I detest both. I suppose I'll go for the cheese eating surrender monkeys because I despise Fritz even more.

Germany ahead but look dodgy at the back. France lacking that bit of quality to un do the Germans

What an unremittingly tedious pile of steaming crap this match is. Symptomatic of the two countries in terms of dullness, I suppose.

As I speak a little more of a sense of urgency by France but not enough quality to open the German door

PS - if Brazil do play Germany in SF as seems likely it will be a stroll in the park for the home team

Columbia will cause Brazil problems at the back

If Argentina and Brazil go out in the quarters I'll be happy. Germany will beat France.

They can't all be good. That's 94 minutes I won't get back.

Brazil - Colombia game better than the earlier debacle. End to end at the moment.
