Supposed lightning in the storm 10 miles to my south and the one drifting in from my northeast - absolutely no audio from that "supposed" storm 10 miles across the water from me! I reckon the detector must be faulty.

Regarding the storms I was talking about both moved in a southeast direction. One kicked off in the Solent between my location and the the IOW.,, the other was drifting from the west of Winchester and exited over gosport. Later cells may very well have fired up..,

Incidently the iow lightning detector didn't detect any of those so called lightning strikes that netweather did. Personally I think netweather lightning detector is faulty.

I see the metoffice have made a reall mess up with their warning today.

Issued after the showers and storms had already kicked off in the west!!! The warning was for the wrong area as almost all of the activity in the southeast has Remained to the west of the warning area.

Impressive looking storm cloud to the west of here.  So far today everything has skirted around us.  Just one rumble of thunder earlier this afternoon during a light shower.

Heavy to torrential rain is easing along with strong gusty winds and still no thunder considering how dark it got!

A good soak for the garden though.
