We peaked at 21.7C. I've never known a forecast to go so tits up, being 4 degrees cooler than originally forecast (and 5 degrees cooler than the high-res models), but there you have it.

At least next week we could see the warmest day of the year with up to 27c in places.

That thunderstorm did nothing to shift this humidity, in fact it's made it worse as I'm currently recording 20.7 C with 90% humidity, that gives a dewpoint of 19.1 C.
I'm sweating like a cornered nun at the moment, but having been sitting in the sun for most of today hadn't helped as I've got a bit of sunburn. I think it's going to be a long night.

Correction, now 21.1 C. I might as well not bother going to sleep.

EDIT at 12.30 am: Now 22.0 C but humdity is falling back to 72% so the dewpoint is down at 16.7 C. What a wierd set up this is being.

RE-EDIT: Now 23.1 C. Ew.

Thankfully, it is being a more forgiving 21.4 C at the moment, even though humidity is at 91% so it still feels rather close. Yet, it felt more airy earlier on today as temperature peaked at 24 C but with reduced humidity and a sea breeze.

I was just thinking, it's been over 72 hours since the temperature last dropped below 19C, and over 5 days since it last dropped to even 16C.

My chilli plants are loving it 🔥😊
