Lightning every few seconds. Very little thunder to be heard so must be a fair way off.

Would like to get some photos really. Might head up to Wickwar. Only a mile or so from here and high up.

Another night of thunder and lightning. 2 nights consecutively is quite rare. This current storm can be easily visible from my WSW webcam below.

I have been watching it approach for some time but the sheer brightness of the flashes hurt my eyes so decided to retire away from the window.

My relatives in the Poole area (more than one family) are filling Facebook up with comments about the storm. Sounds good! Not staying up myself as I have a busy day tomorrow. Didn't stay up last night either, but was woken up by [thunder].

That storm had it's skates on and passed quite quickly, nowhere near as dramatic as last nights but nice to watch, there's another one coming up from the South not too far away so won't be going to bed just yet.

Full on now. Rain had stopped but virtually constant lightning and thunder.

The very low SW horizon is being lit up by lightning probably every 4 or 5 seconds at the moment. Somewhere in the channel is getting a pasting.

Extremely intense storm. Barely a break between lightning flashes, constant thunder and torrential rain. Easing a off a little now. Good. I'm tired.

Storm 2 rolling over. Constant rumbling from 90% cloud to cloud lightning. Quite impressive to witness though.

Another one's just rolled by, mostly high based stuff and hidden by a thick layer of low cloud, I can see another coming not far away and this one looks to be more intense than the previous two, it's certainly been a long time since i've seen lightning in every direction i look.

Just had an almighty thunderbolt crash down in the centre of Radstock. Not sure what it hit but sparks flew everywhere in the town. Weather Station and webcams down for now I'm afraid.
