After some rain fell earlier on this afternoon (crappy South Kent climate), I've just done a bit of adding up and so far 67 mm of rain has fallen here at Folkestone this month - that's roughly twice the average for July.

This bit of rain had scuppered my plans for sitting in the garden topping up the tan but at least the lawn is really looking very lush for it.

My July rainfall now stands at 61mm.

So now 3 consecutive wet months here, with my May to July total now standing at 254mm.  Remarkably, the last 3 months have been significantly wetter than Winter 2013-14 here!

Not likely to get any precipitation until Monday 21st. This could be the last for this month in my area.

Nothing here since the 19th. Have deployed the water butts! Not expecting much here in the coming days; the weekend looks hit 'n' miss with the showery activity from the advancing cold front and the same goes for the next cold front due on Tuesday!

Fortunately no meaningful rain in sight. Hopefully any that does come will fall during nighttime hours. We've had plenty last weekend.

A very helpful 10mm exactly from a thunderstorm yesterday gave the garden a nice drink.

Still a dry month though with only 26.6mm so far.

First rainfall here since the 19th produced a trace from the upper cold front and just 1.2mm from the surface cold front.

The garden here is on a very free-draining hill of sand, so after a week of very warm and dry weather it needs a drink! I'm lazy and would prefer the weather to take care of it

Total now at 57.2mm, the average for this area is 76.7mm.
