Very muggy out there with milky skies and warm sunshine with some convective cloud building. Hit 29.3C earlier, currently a sticky 28.8C with little wind.

A more "seasonable" 23.2 C here on the coastal strip with hazy sunshine and well scattered cumulus. Is more than good enough to sit in the garden all the same as winds are quite calm. 79% humidity.

The heat really hanging on today, and cloud has thinned a little this afternoon as the convective energy hasn't quite got going enough. Still some fluffy cumulus around, but still winds and a very warm 27.1C making it feel sticky.

It's still a muggy 22.7 c here and I have to close the doors because I want to go to bed.

Very grateful for the plants too!

And meanwhile a night visitor in our garden. Good to see they are still living under the laurel tree:

Still 25C in our back garden, and dead calm. A spicy smell of summer earth in the air. Balmiest night of the year so far tonight, but with lowish humidity (Dp of 12) at some point things will chill off rapidly once the asphalt has given up its retained heat.

It's nights like these, minus the whine of the occasional mosquito, that remind me why I love summer.
