70mm here which is a lot for 10 days in.
Doesn't actually seem very wet yet though.
Year is on 623mm so far; I would not be surprised if we beat 2013's total of 671mm by the end of the month.

13mm today and now up to 56mm for the month which is about the average for the whole month usually. So a very wet first half of the month.

Total rainfall for the year now over 600mm at 610.8mm. Already wetter than the whole of 2006 and 2010 and not far behind the total for 2013.

If we look at the EWP rainfall series we can see that the first 7 months of 2014 was the 7th wettest on record since 1766

Wettest Jan - Jul periods on record:

2007 687.2mm
1782 675.9mm
1872 671.5mm
1789 654.0mm
1768 653.4mm
1828 649.3mm
2014 647.7mm

We might move further up that table this month. Already we have had 70mm of rain in August up to the 13th and that does not include yesterday's heavy showers. The average for the whole of August is only 77mm. However, most of the August's in the years above were also wet apart from 1789.
