Dark misty and drizzly so far this week and until Friday! No summery weather up here for sure! Can't wait for the westerlies to kick in and get rid of this incessant gloom.

24*C

... is what it would be if GFS was right.

Instead it's a shade above 20*C and rather windy. Hopefully the very warm - albeit more unstable - air mass will have managed to establish properly tomorrow. Seems like it's only just making its way in this afternoon, perhaps marked by the band of high cloud now advancing northward.

What's really striking is the reports of 25-26*C from the ocean buoys located near Dover. If we could just shift that hot air NW, a reasonable evening could be achieved.

Has been bright with hazy sunshine so far today, although high cloud is making the sun appear quite soft and milky at the moment.

Feeling very warm and muggy at 21.1 C with 79% humidity, there is only the lightest of breezes at the moment.

Yet another day stuck inside a giant sponge - murky damp, drizzly abhorrent, depressing. 1.7 hours sun in 5 days, barely any proper daylight, temperatures stuck in double figures by night, failing miserably to reach average by day. Just the story of this out and out vile year

Actually at the daily high just now: 14.2C after a low of 10.9C which was the lowest since Saturday
