Remarkably close to complete calm - as a result places south of the moors seem to be foggy but not especially cold - around 9C

The uniform cirrostratus layer is now thick enough to make it gloomy and overcast, however it is still dry (apart from two spots of rain half an hour ago).

15.7 C with 86 humidity under a moderate easterly breeze.

The uniform cirrostratus layer is now thick enough to make it gloomy and overcast, however it is still dry (apart from two spots of rain half an hour ago).

As a side thought, I do have my eyes on the cluster of thundery activity that are breaking out over France. Normally I don't take much notice of something like that, but because it's all part of the low pressure package that are moving towards Southern England, I might snatch something out of that later on tonight. Only one way to find out.

Indeed! ESTOFEX reckon you've a 50% chance of lightning in the area - especially just behind the frontal zone. Here we look to stay on the cold side of the system, so I'll most likely be posting that it's cold, grey, wet and breezy here tomorrow

Sunniest Sunday for 6 weeks. Should mean anywhere from 7-9 hours sun. Actual total: 3.9 hours 


This is just beyond a joke. 6 weeks time I'll be in Tenerife. Can't wait to get away from this never ending misery and when I get back less than a month of this year from hell to endure. There's a pleasant thought.
