On Sunday we had more rain and gusts of 42mph but no hurricane warnings were in force.

Sun's come out now, looking a lot more brighter and cheerful. Still quite blustery, of course but since the wind is coming from the west rather than straight in from the Channel, I'm being more sheltered by that built up hilly bit anyway. Besides, the wind may do us a favour by speeding up the drying process.

I'm waiting now for the colder air to arrive in the next few hours just want to see how far temperatures get knocked back. Nothing forecast lower than 10c tonight so I'm not worried about cold, I just want to see what happens.
