There must be something of an inversion with the calm air, as most places nearby are 5C+

6th day of a spell of horrific, revolting, unnatural, abnormal. murky and depressing filth

Constant south easterlies delivering no sunshine and persistently humid dank and soggy conditions with the temperature stuck on 10C almost perpetually and nothing lower than 7C. Not even the worst of Novembers in the 20th Century ever sunk this low just this month and 2011.

17mm of rain since yesterday evening and almost 40mm since Tuesday. This year of hell just keeps plumbing new depths
