Could it be farmyard slurry carried from afar under an easterly breeze? I had that the other evening when our wind turned in from the north east and brought the scent of the countryside to my coastal location. It did pong a bit, I thought it was my elderly mother at first as the smell came from the bathroom then I noticed the stench was wafting through a small crack in the bathroom window.
Thankfully the smell didn't last very long as the wind veered into the south east later on that evening and brought fresher air in from the Strait Of Dover.

Definetly not slurry.

It smells like a blend of ozone & bleach, with a hint of paint.

There is no escaping it in the building as it's getting in through air vents, open the window and the air coming from the sea direction stinks.

It's bad enough to make me feel a little giddy. Others at work are complaining about it too.

It has around 15% chlorine. as opposed to around  5% in bleach.

I sometimes use it to shock swimming pool water.

However garlic, smokey bacon, onions, over a chicken or turkey can, when cooked give off a fishy smell! But not as we know it Jim! Well not like chlorine!
