Had a heavy shower when I left work. It's started and sleet and turned to snow for about 10 seconds then back to rain as it cleared. Coming down the motorway there was lightning too. Home now and there is a dusting on the highest hills.

Snow reported down to ~ 1000ft on some north faces of the fells.

I could see some snow down to around 1200-1300ft this afternoon though it looked thin and patchy.

Had a great thunderstorm/hail shower today in south Manchester about 3pm...

No proper snow but it certainly looked as there was a decent covering outside - there was a proper white blanket out there.

Just had the first snow of the winter come through. The shower started off as soft hail but then briefly turned to snow.

More hail and wet snow down here at sea level with a thin slushy covering at times. Snow higher up and the Ochil and Pentland Hills are turning white

Hi all, I was at the marina at dinner time and I got caught in wintry showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow showers. I was quite suprised as I did not expect snow till later on in the evening, a nice suprise. at home now and have had a beefy hailstone shower going thru. PS I hope everyone are well. PPS Pendle hill should be looking good this week with the wintryness about.

I was with hubby doing a Santa Run at the Manchester United grounds this morning and there was a sleety shower at 12.30 pm.  Also had snow showers whilst driving home over the Snake Pass this afternoon.

Was in Glasgow this weekend, and a few light snow showers this morning meant I saw my first snowflakes since March 2013

A light dusting of snow in the Southern Uplands, but coming over Shap and past the Howgills there was just rain at all levels, with no snow visible on Cross Fell  (Cumbrian fells not visible due to rain ...)

Just driven from wirral through manchester and back with a sly detour to the top of the snake pass to see if there was anything lying. Slightest of dusting on the top. The odd shower of sleet/hail on the way. Temp at the top around 1*c

Temp throughout east Manchester around 3-4*c with the odd light rain shower.

Now back on the Wirral with the temp hovering around 4-5*c the odd light shower. Was expecting something a little more explosive. But actually - its not too unpleasant outside.
