Fair with partial cloud cover and some brightness. Did get to see a touch of frost on felt roofs upon awakening at 6.30 am - that was when the temperature was at it's lowest of the night at 2.8 C.

Hi, Ian! Frequent light showers here - the heavier ones moving past a little further north of here and fine to the south, so the low-angled sunshine is producing frequent rainbows as a result! 7.8C, light westerlies - occasionally moderate in showers. Pressure @ 1013mb. Certainly not a dry day here!!

Nevertheless the temperature is far colder than was achieved under the clear skies at -0.9C. Actually the coldest I can remember it getting this early for some time possibly as long ago as early December 2013.
