I am in Kingswells. We usually get a lot more snow than other areas of the city due to Brimmond Hill. 

Yes and being a little inland often helps too. Here in the city it is cold rain alternating with moderate sleety rain. I think I preferred it dry. Why does the rain shield work nicely when it's snow! 

Yes the snow showers have been shielded all week and now when the mild air pushes in we get heavy rain. Funnily enough it has turned back to snow here can't see it lasting.
