Doesn't look like a classic to me. Look at that stormy lp over Svlbard

Careful Kieren you're running the risk of sounding positive 😛,

It's easy to see that this weekends weather is the cause of everything, no wonder there are so many options on the table

White Meadows...it's not a classic in the 1991/2010 bracket, but compared with the crap we've put up with for the last winter and a half, this is right up there.

This is as far as you need to look, the trend is there - keep those heights just a bit further north and BINGO

You watch ECM go and flip the other way in the morning now just to annoy us all the more!

Good analysis this evening.
Meanwhile, in Mississippi, we have a tornado watch!
Two chasers doing some pre-Christmas streaming now: https://tvnweather.com/live

Sorry mods, way off topic.

I'm so glad to see the pub run is finding form again at last - its late night antics have been sorely missed by this observer

It'll probably all end in a massive hangover tomorrow morning though

Pretty decent ant run this for Enland and Wales. Northern England and Scotland looks pretty grey and damp so won't be everyone's cuppa

Not far off if it isn't.

Won't happen, FI and all that....but look where that Atlantic low is going.

A classic undercut of a Scandi High.

This has restored my faith in the GFS 18z that it IS still capable of producing Stella runs. Don't worry guys, I'm not being hoodwinked into believing it for one minute, but just looks really good.

18z end of High res and we have -10 uppers in SE, Scandi High and snow flurries.  A vast improvement on the zonal train of 2013-14, should this chart come to fruition! So much for a sinking high

And bang, +228 and we have a major undercut slider. The pub run is dead - long live the pub run

Just about everything that can go right IS going right on this 18z.

Scandi high now retrogressing towards Greenland with the low undercutting.

Welcome back 18z GFS.
