Not sure if this has been thought of yet,

But i thought it would be a good idea to post any reports today especially to see how far south the cold digs in and to see if any accumulations are recorded.

hopefully I'll see something a bit later on :D

Well I guess it must be raining in Wales, since nobody has reported any snow here as yet and there has been precipitation there for a couple of hours now. Not veyr promising for the rest of us.

For my location, we have a yellow warning for snow later but at the moment it's overcast, calm and 3.6c.

The real cold air digs in later on though, if I recall correctly? Better chance of snow into the latter part of the evening and overnight for central and eastern areas.

I don't think snow is predicted to fall until at least 4pm then it will slowly filter South and East as the cold air mixes in, don't think there will be too much settling away from high ground,

Although currently 1.5c here with a Dew point of 0c

Yes, it's heading in from the West and according to the radar, it's currently falling as rain over Wales.  I'm not expecting anything much before midnight.  This could be a late night of lamp post watching for me!

Some friends have just phoned for a Christmas chat and it's raining in Mid Wales- and they live quite high up. I think it's going to be a night time event for a few people.

Well it's looking good for my area, we always do well in these scenarios. Not sure if we'll get as much as 2013 (I was literary snowed in hence the username!) Will keep you updated on any movements.

Cheers

I can only see those with elevation doing well out of this for the rest of us we can expect Sleet at best. Tomorrow looks like it could deliver some wet snow to lower elevations for Western areas.

Sleet here with wet snow in the heavier bursts.
