You lot really need to buy a subscription to raintoday. Its remarkably accurate.
Rain here with the odd flake of sleety stuff. Temperature`s falling, down from 4.5C to 3.8C in the last hour or so.

Red is snow, blue is rain, grey is anything in between.
Here's my Snow Watch Update video for anybody that's interested;

Saw on Twitter this could be the first Boxing Day snow in Coventry since 1964!
Heavy snow here in Banbury
Its really turning to snow now on RT!
Light rain with ice for the past half hour here though I haven't seen any snowflakes but temp is 2.6c and DP is 0.9c, so it won't take much for it to turn to snow.
thanks guys re: key
Back to heavy sleet now
snowing well now, large flakes ;)
and its sticking on the cars despite it raining first
How do you know it's accurate without comparing with a large number of actual ground observations?
Given that it often indicates that it's raining in my location for long periods when there is nothing reaching the ground I must say I'm sceptical!
