Took dog out at 1930hrs. Rain had turned to wet snow, quite heavy but not yet settling. Except on dog.

Crazy day and interesting seeing some members reporting heavy snow and rain and sleet etc. This seems very localised. Interesting how Liverpool airport /Liverpool had so much falling and lying snow yet Manchester got none? Shouldn't Manchester be colder inland? - If only this weather had occurred yesterday, then it would have been a memorable white Christmas and first one for many!!!

Was freezing this morning in Braunton but when I went for lunch in Barnstaple and came out it rained and felt balmy at 11c got back to Exeter at 6pm it was almost 12c then now it is dropping rapidly down to 8.5c. - Wind picking up. At least it was a brief mild spell.
