It's been quite windy here overnight and air temperature has been around freezing - ground temps well below though.

Fine and frosty. 1.4 C with 86% humidity.

Even though temperatures rose to above freezing in the early hours and was 1.0 C by 6 am,  the low humidity thus keeping dewpoint below freezing meant that the frost that had formed in the first half of the night was preserved anyway. Did wonder why it didn't really feel that cold indoors upon awakening at 6.15 am even though I never have the heating on overnight (makes me ill).

So that's now finished off my geraniums which survived the whole of last winter.
